POWERLINK Association China commences work
The POWERLINK Association China
has celebrated its establishment with an official ceremony at the Xishan
Baodao Garden Hotel in Suzhou. The association was founded by B&R
together with Advantech, Kinco, SAIC, SIPAI, Shandong University as well
as further companies and research institutions in order to satisfy the
growing demand of the Chinese market.The rapid
pace of economic development in China has resulted in high growth rates
for Chinese automation manufacturers and a high demand for suitable
real-time communication systems. The Chinese automation market has two
distinguishing features: firstly, many producers choose to equip their
relatively new production facilities with Industrial Ethernet networks
from the start. Secondly, unlike in Europe, software users are opposed
to restrictions through software licenses and corresponding fees. This
background provides ideal conditions for the open source technology
POWERLINK.
