Hello Tyler83,
the EtherCAT Slave API Example is only provided to customers, who have bought the rcX BSP, the EtherCAT Slave stack as linkable object (library) or the HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) version of the stack.
For all other customers is an loadable binary available on the Hilscher web page.

Hi rabiby,
sorry, but this is not many information you give to us.
What kind of board do you have?
Hi AJ,
Sorry ...
It's a CIFX 50-RE.
I would like to test the EtherCAT "Slave" Side of this card.
Where to start?
Hilscher Gesellschaft fuer Systemautomation mbH
Hello rabiby,
I can not believe that you got the card from Hilscher without any CD.
If yes, this would be a mistake and you should get in contact with them to reclaim this.
For any other question, please get in contact with the Standard Support Hotline from Hilscher.

Hello Tyler83,
the binary, is as named, a closed already compiled file which could not anymore changed. It is similar to a BIOS update from your PC. There you get also only the binary file and you can not anymore modify that file.
If you need the EtherCAT stack together with your own application, then you need the stack as linkable object or the HAL code.
