Hello AJ and the others. After our last discussion my new plan is to use the EtherCAT Slave demo on the NXSB Board and a microcontroller connected to the dual port memory.
As far as I see, there are many possibilities to use DPM communication signals which can be configured by the netX software (see netX product brief Rev09, page 52).
Now my question is which connection standard for DPM is realized for buildung up communication between the netX chip and my microcontroller so I can load the warmstart parameters and get the EtherCAT state machine into operational mode?
Greetings
Hi Tyler83,
I have to disappoint you, if you are using the EtherCAT Slave example from the Hilscher web page. This example does not support the DPM.
Here for you need a loadable firmware or a linkable object module (library) to do this.
If you have the linkable object, please check in the provided example if the struct RX_HIF_SET_T is available in the config.c file.
If not, I would please you to get in contact with the netX-Support from Hilscher.
To figure out, which connections are used for the DPM, please have a look into the schematics of the NXSB100 board (is downloadable on the Hilscher page).
Further more there is an DPM-Manual available, which describes the from Hilscher used DPM layout.
