USB Max. Transfersize

How much is the Max. Transfersize of the USB.
I use the USB-CDC example from the Hilscher Homepage.
Is it 0x40 Hex? Can i change the Send and Receivebuffer size ?

USB 1.1 Maximum Packet Size is 64 Bytes (0x40).
But AFAIK the USB CDC demo uses an own buffer on top of the 64 Bytes maximum of USB.
