Profibus DPV1

Hi,

I'm currently evaluating the netX 50 chip for Profibus (I'm using a netSTICK FB (NXSTK 50-FB)) and I can't find anything about how to get the configuration parameter data sent via DPV1 in my application (the application is based on the netSTICK_Fieldbus example included on the CD which is delivered with the netSTICK).

Thanks in advance.

Hi Simon,

this should be described into the Profibus API-Manual. I think under the chapter configuration.

Hi AJ,

Thanks for the answer. Nevertheless I'm still unable to get any DPV1 services running. Does the evaluation Profibus-Stack for the netX even support anything other than DPV0?

Hi Simon,

have you enabled the DPV1 in the warm start message/package ?

Which master are you using? Is the master also for DPV1 configured?

Hi AJ,

In the warmstart packet I have:

ptWarmstartReq->tData.bFlags = WRMSTRT_FLG_DPV1_ENABLE | ... and the master I'm using is a CIF 50-PB PCI Card which is configured via SyCon. The only settings for DPV1 I can find in SyCon are those for the slaves. There I have activated the setting "Enable DPV1".

Hi Simon,

the warm start package looks ok.

Please check in your Sycon the DPV1 settings.
Please double click on the connected slave and press on the right side the button "DPV1 Settings".
It is important, that the DPV1 check box is marked.

Hi AJ,

Thanks for the help. The "DPV1 activated" checkbox was activated, but I forgot to activate the alarms for which to watch...

Problem solved.
