Parallel Flash supported by rcX operating system

Hello.

We are designing our custom board with netx100.
I would like to know which parallel flash parts are supported by the rcX OS.

Hi cth12,

rcX does NOT support any parFlash.
Hilscher strongly recommend to use a serial SPI flash e.g. ATMEL AT45DB321*!

Thanks for your quick response.

But a parallel flash(S29GL128) is used in your NXHX500-RE board.
And this flash is connected via CS0.
What is the aim of this parallel flash in the NXHX500-RE board?

Hi,

the NXHX500 is also usable for alternative operating systems e.g. WinCE or Linux which support this type of flash.

Hi

I'm confused the availability of parallel flash in the rcX.
I could see serveral parallel flash driver APIs in the document rcX_Driver.
For example, DrvPFlsInit(), Drv_PflWriteFlash()......

Yes, but not for the current used ones.
You have only simple access.
Fact is, that the rcX does not support Spansion flashes.
